Description

The School District of Lancaster provides a comprehensive school psychology internship in a face-paced, culturally/economically/linguistically diverse, urban setting, with excellent supervision and opportunities to pursue one’s particular interests.  The intern will be provided with a broad range of school psychology experiences, including evaluating students (with high incidence and also low incidence disabilities), consultation, group work (social skills, academic intervention, etc.), and opportunities to present and receive professional development. It is expected that intern applicants will have acquired the basic skills and education necessary to enter into school psychology practice, including an understanding of test administration (with a variety of tests), report writing skills (and special ed regulations/law), the ability to present findings to staff and parents, consultation skills, and the ability to develop rapport with students and staff.  It is also understood that the intern will be open to receiving supervision to further develop skills as a school psychologist.
